Limit on Number of Interrogatories

Hello Justice. Can I validly object against the opposing counsel's attempt to compel a hostile witness/adverse party to execute anew another set of answer to written interrogatories? The opposing counsel prepared at the first instance a very short written interrogatories and is likely trying to remedy his ineffectual first written interrogatories by submitting a lengthier one, of course with the benefit of foresight now. This seems unfair especially since as the plaintiff, it should not rely on the testimony of the adverse party and the latter's witnesses to prove his cause of action. The hostile witness/adverse party is just the 2nd witness for the plaintiff. Thank you Justice. Hope you can clarify this point as there seems to be a dearth of commentary on this matter. Only Justice Bellosillo in his commentary on pre-trial expressed his opinion on this albeit citing foreign jurisprudence.
